About Allie Strawbridge
As an Emmy Award-winning Voice Director and Producer, I have spent more than 20 years working with young actors on beloved animated series for Nickelodeon, including The Backyardigans, Bubble Guppies, Dora, and The Tiny Chef Show. Throughout my career, the most rewarding part of my work has been helping performers discover their unique strengths, hone their craft, and grow in confidence both on and off the microphone.
That passion led me to create Scrappity Productions.
Through personalized coaching sessions tailored to each student’s individual goals and needs, I help aspiring voice actors prepare for auditions, rehearse sides, feel comfortable in a professional recording environment, and develop lasting voice acting skills. My goal is for every child to feel supported, empowered, and excited about their creative journey.
The number one rule? Have fun!

Why Scrappity?
When I began my career at Nickelodeon, my first boss, Janice Burgess, creator of The Backyardigans, gave me the nickname “Scrappity.” Janice was a mentor whose creativity, generosity, and friendship left a lasting impact on both my career and my life.
To me, “Scrappity” was a term of endearment that grew from my “scrappy” approach to getting the job done - an approach that has served me well throughout my career.
When I created Scrappity Productions, it seemed only fitting to carry forward the spirit behind the nickname.
